Taraneh Hemami’s work utilizes mediums such as glasswork, textile production and sculpture in order to examine themes of displacement, memory, and representation within Iranian and Iranian-American experiences.
Dr. Amy Malek’s research lies at the intersections of citizenship, visual culture, and diasporic identity. Her current book project focuses on cultural productions by Iranians in the diaspora cities of Stockholm, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
Dr. Manijeh Nasrabadi's scholarship focuses on transnational American studies and the legacy of US imperialism. Her current work focuses on the history of Iranian student activism and its engagement with third world solidarity movements.
